JILL SALVINO
Director

 

A highly decorated creative director who has collected over 200 industry awards including an Emmy. Jill Salvino has one of her feature length screenplays in development and has directed several shorts. Taking it for Granted has been shown in over a dozen film festivals across the US in 2014. Her other shorts are: The Sonnet Project, currently touring in England, and Lies People Tell, premiered in The Perdro Film Festival.

 

Between the Shades is her first documentary. She is a member of Promax and a long-standing chair of the Telly Silver Counsel and a Gold Member of NYWIFTV.

 

CHRIS VERNALE

Cinematographer

 

A seasoned cinematographer and artist with over 10 years of professional experience in film, video, and still photography.  Chris has vast experience in the industry and has worked on reality television, commercial productions, and internal corporate videos. His visual style can be described as organic and balanced, with a keen sense of storytelling that brings out the highest level of authenticity in his work.

 

CHRIS BYLER

Editor

 

Christopher Byler is a New York-based film editor, director, cinematographer, and sound designer. He has worked on several documentaries, narrative shorts and features, in addition to but very much as well as producing 20+ music videos and lots of "promotional" content. He's done sound design and editing for a wide variety of artists and businesses, including Marvel, ESPN, Troma Entertainment, SNY, and Comcast.

PAUL MORIN

Composer

 

Paul Morin is a New York-based composer, contemporary artist, and pianist.  As a composer he has worked on Theater, Live Radio Productions, Film, and Art Videos. The NY Press wrote in an article, “Paul Morin takes visitors on a trip through time with music and sound.”  Paul recently collaborated with Jill Salvino on “Lies People Tell”, a short film that premiered at the San Pedro film festival.  As a pianist he has performed concerts in The United States and South America and has won numerous awards and prizes.  As an artist his works have been highly reviewed and his art is currently on display at Spectrum Gallery in NYC. 

 

IGHOR MELO

Still Photographer

 

A still photographer that moved to New York City from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2011. Ighor has built a diverse portfolio as he photographs both public and private events with his most recent work being the launch of Lips Magazine and the American India Foundation’s gala.  He has also shot New York City’s exciting nightlife, including Westway’s Westgay. He also photographs the Meatpacking District’s Standard Hotel’s weekly “Not Your Standard Bingo” event. In addition to all of this, he has dived into the NYC’s independent film scene working as a still photographer on the set of Gus Reed’s dance film “New York Waltz."

 

ERIC EMMA

Associate Producer

A highly energetic creative contributor with credits in screenwriting, producing, and crew on several independent films. In addition to his work on Between the Shades, he has a film production company and produces films under his “Neurotic Monsters Productions” label.

 

MICHAEL WETHERBEE

Associate Producer

 

Michael is a New York-based actor with several theater and film credits. He made his film debut in the critically acclaimed short film, "Zombie in a Penguin Suit." He has completed two films with director Jill Salvino: the award winning "Taking it for Granted" and "Lies People Tell." Both films are currently screening in national and international film festivals. His work has been featured at Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Clermont-Ferrand, Manhattan Film Festival, and Prague Int'l Film Festival. Theater credits include the American Theater of Actors, Players Theater, Theater for a New City, Workshop Theater Company, and the State of Maine Theater. He is a graduate of Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
